PCB UHF Adhesive & Screw-Mount On-Metal RFID Tag 90×20mm

The ForNext 90×20 mm on-metal UHF RFID tag is a slim yet industrial-grade solution engineered for metal tools, equipment housings, fixtures and fixed assets where dependable long-range performance is required in a compact format.

Built around a precision-tuned FR4 PCB structure, this tag is designed specifically for metal surfaces, where standard RFID labels would typically suffer from detuning and unstable read performance. It is available with either the Alien Higgs-3 or NXP UCODE 8 chip, allowing customers to select the most suitable option based on project requirements, encoding needs and regional deployment preference.

The compact 90 × 20  mm body provides an excellent balance between read distance, durability and installation flexibility. To support different mounting needs, the tag offers two installation methods — a strong adhesive backing for quick deployment, or mechanical fixing with screws for more secure long-term attachment. This makes it suitable for industrial equipment, metal containers, racks, tools, machinery and returnable transport assets.

Despite its slim profile, the optimised antenna design delivers strong read performance directly on metal. Under fixed readers, the tag achieves up to 10.8 m in the FCC band and 10.5 m in the ETSI band. Under handheld readers, it supports up to 6.5 m in FCC and 6.3 m in ETSI. This enables stable identification across warehouse, manufacturing and field asset tracking applications where both compact size and strong performance are important.

The tag supports EPC Class 1 Gen2 and ISO 18000-6C protocols. Depending on chip version, memory includes EPC 96 bits, expandable up to 480 bits, User 512 bits and TID 64 bits. With storage temperature resistance up to -40°C to +150°C, it is suitable for demanding industrial environments where long-term durability and thermal stability are required.
