NFC Label NXP ICODE® SLIX2 | ISO15693 NFC Type 5 | 40 x 25mm
The ForNext 40 × 25 mm NFC and HF label is powered by the NXP ICODE® SLIX2 chip, providing extended read performance and a larger memory capacity for identification, asset tracking and item-level management applications.
Operating at 13.56 MHz, the label complies with ISO/IEC 15693, ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 and NFC Forum Type 5. It supports communication with compatible HF RFID readers and NFC-enabled devices that support ISO15693 technology.
The ICODE® SLIX2 chip provides 2,528 bits of user memory, equivalent to 316 usable bytes. Its EEPROM is organised into 80 blocks of 4 bytes, providing a structured memory layout for product identifiers, asset records, batch information, library data and workflow references.
With a factory-programmed 64-bit UID and anti-collision support, multiple labels can be identified reliably within the same reader field. The chip also includes password-protected EAS, AFI, privacy and label-destroy functions for applications requiring greater control over tag visibility and lifecycle management.
The thin label construction and pressure-sensitive adhesive backing make it suitable for packaging, documents, books, cards, plastic products and other non-metallic surfaces.
Typical applications include:
- Library and document management – identify books, files, archives and records using ISO15693-compatible library systems.
- Asset and inventory tracking – attach unique HF RFID identifiers to equipment, tools, containers and reusable assets.
- Smart packaging – connect products and packaging to digital information, batch data, instructions or traceability records.
- Healthcare and laboratory identification – support identification of samples, consumables, containers and medical assets.
- Product and workflow management – store item references, process information and status data for internal operations.
- Electronic article surveillance – use password-protected EAS and AFI functionality in compatible security and identification systems.
