NFC Label NXP NTAG® 216 | ISO14443A | 40 x 25mm
The ForNext 40 × 25 mm NFC label is a compact, general-purpose smart label powered by the NXP NTAG® 216 chip.
Operating at 13.56 MHz and compliant with ISO/IEC 14443A and NFC Forum Type 2, the label provides fast and reliable tap-based communication with most NFC-enabled smartphones and compatible NFC readers.
With 888 bytes of user memory, NTAG® 216 offers significantly more storage capacity than lower-memory NFC chips. It is suitable for longer URLs, extended product information, digital business cards, multi-field NDEF records, serialised IDs, maintenance data, authentication links and more detailed digital content.
The chip includes a factory-programmed 7-byte UID, anti-collision support and an ECC-based originality signature. These features support reliable tag identification, chip-origin verification and stable reading where multiple NFC tags may be present within the reader field.
The thin PET inlay and pressure-sensitive adhesive backing make the label suitable for packaging, documents, cards, posters, plastic products and other non-metallic surfaces.
Typical applications include:
- Smart packaging – connect users to detailed product information, instructions, warranty registration, traceability records or after-sales support.
- Interactive marketing – store longer landing-page links, campaign content, digital catalogues, contact details or promotional information.
- Product identification – encode serialised IDs, batch information, product records and item-level reference data.
- Event ticketing and identification – store ticket references, visitor information or digital check-in data for short-range NFC workflows.
- Asset and document management – attach NFC identifiers to folders, tools, equipment or library items for inspection, maintenance and check-in/out records.
- Extended NFC data applications – support applications requiring more memory than standard URL-only NFC tags.
