Dual-Frequency On-Metal RFID Tag 81*60mm dual | EM4425
The 8160dual is a dual-frequency anti-metal RFID tag developed specifically for asset management in complex and harsh environments.
It integrates HF and UHF RFID technologies into a single robust device, overcoming the limitations of traditional single-frequency tags.
Built with a high-strength PC enclosure and a specially engineered anti-metal antenna structure, the tag can be securely installed directly on metal surfaces while maintaining excellent RF performance.
When mounted on metal, it achieves a UHF read range of up to 6.3 metres using fixed readers.
At its core is the EM4425 dual-frequency RFID chip, supporting both ISO 15693 (HF) and EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-63 (UHF) standards.
This enables flexible operation across different identification distances — from close-range NFC/HF interaction to long-range UHF asset tracking — all within a single tag.
By combining high-frequency precision with ultra-high-frequency range, the dual addresses key industry pain points such as poor readability on metal, limited identification range and lack of functional flexibility. It provides a powerful and future-proof solution for asset lifecycle management.
With its IP68 protection rating, wide operating temperature range and solid mechanical design, the tag is suitable for long-term deployment in industrial, infrastructure and outdoor environments.
