NFC Label NXP MIFARE Classic® EV1 | ISO14443A | 40 x 25mm

A compact 40 × 25 mm NFC label powered by the NXP MIFARE Classic® EV1 1K chip, commonly referred to as S50. Operating at 13.56 MHz and compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A, it is available with either a 4-byte NUID or 7-byte UID.

The chip provides 1 KB of sector-organised EEPROM, 106 kbit/s data transfer, anti-collision support and MIFARE CRYPTO1 authentication. It is suitable for compatible access control, ticketing, loyalty, attendance, closed-loop payment and identification systems.

Custom printing, sector encoding, UID matching and serialisation are available. For large-volume or customised projects, please contact us at sales@fornextrfid.co.uk for a tailored quotation.

NFC Label NXP MIFARE Classic® EV1 1K | ISO14443A | 40 x 25mm

The ForNext 40 × 25 mm NFC label is powered by the NXP MIFARE Classic® EV1 1K chip, commonly referred to as the S50. It is available with either a 4-byte NUID or a 7-byte UID, depending on the selected chip version.

Operating at 13.56 MHz and compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A, the label supports fast contactless communication at a data transfer rate of 106 kbit/s.

The chip provides 1 KB of EEPROM, organised into 16 sectors. Each sector contains four blocks, with 16 bytes per block. This sector-based memory structure is well suited to applications that need separate data areas, access keys or stored-value records.

MIFARE Classic® EV1 uses the proprietary MIFARE CRYPTO1 security mechanism, together with anti-collision support, 16-bit CRC, parity checking, bit coding and bit counting for reliable data communication. Typical ticketing transactions can be completed in under 100 ms, including backup management.

The compact label format and pressure-sensitive adhesive backing make it suitable for cards, badges, tickets, packaging, plastic surfaces, documents and other non-metallic items.

Typical applications include:

  • Access control and identification – use with compatible legacy access systems for staff, visitor, locker or facility identification.
  • Ticketing and transport systems – support fast contactless transactions for compatible ticketing, fare collection and event systems.
  • Loyalty and membership – store customer IDs, membership references, points or application-specific records.
  • Attendance and time management – identify staff, students, contractors or visitors within compatible check-in systems.
  • Cashless and stored-value applications – support closed-loop payment, vending, catering or campus applications using compatible MIFARE Classic® infrastructure.
  • Asset and workflow identification – assign contactless IDs to equipment, documents, containers or internal process items.

The 40 × 25 mm NXP MIFARE Classic® EV1 1K label is suitable for established access control, ticketing, loyalty, attendance and closed-loop identification systems that already support MIFARE Classic® technology.

MIFARE Classic® EV1 should not be positioned as a high-security NFC solution. For applications requiring modern cryptographic authentication or stronger protection against cloning, a MIFARE DESFire® or NTAG® DNA solution may be more appropriate.

For use directly on metal surfaces, a specialist on-metal HF label construction is required. Custom materials, adhesives, printing and data encoding are available.
